A large French .950 silver tea service and tray by L. Lapars de Beguin, Paris c. 1900, marked with Beguin retail mark. Comprising a kettle on stand, coffee pot, teapot, sugar bowl, milk jug, butter dish, cream jug and tea tray. Baluster shaped bodies with engine turned surface, scroll shaped handles and spouts, the kettle, teapot and sugar bowl with floral finial, and the butter dish with cow finial. Height of kettle 17.5" (44.5cm), total weight 278.7 troy oz (8668g).
