A pair of attractive William IV sterling silver wine coasters with mark of K.G & Co., probably by Kirkby, Gregory & Co., hallmarked Sheffield 1831. The sides pierced and stamped in the form of Gothic arches with trefoil motifs, acanthus leaf borders, turned wood bases. Central buttons engraved with a family crest and motto "Vota Vita Mea" (Virtue is My Life). 5.75" (14.6cm) diameter.
