A massive handmade English sterling silver cup cover by Lionel Alfred Crichton (for Crichton Brothers), hallmarked London 1930. Charles II style, with mask capped scroll handles and acanthus knop finial, the lid and base embossed with acanthus leaves. The cup is large enough to accommodate up to three bottles of wine with room to spare for ice, monogrammed MSM, 14" (35.6cm) across the handles, 11" (27.9cm) high, 84.6 oz troy (2632g).
