A pair of large and exceptional quality George IV sterling silver entree dishes by the renowned maker Philip Rundell, hallmarked London 1821. Rectangular with domed lids, shell, gadroon and and acanthus borders and beautiful lion's mask and acanthus handles. Engraved with armorial and motto "Esse Quam Videri" (To be, rather than to seem) conjoining another another armorial surrounded by a garter with the motto "tria juncta in uno" (Three joined in one) and "ich dien" (I serve). These arms commemorate the marriage of Lieutenant General Sir Henry Edward Bunbury the 7th Baronet of Stanney in the County of Cheshire and his first wife, Louisa Amelia Fox.
