A large fine quality George IV silver cake basket by Philip Rundell for Rundell Bridge and Rundell, hallmarked London 1822. Rectangular with rounded corners on conforming rectangular foot, with gadroon border and half fluted interior. The reeded swing handle with acanthus capped joins and an applied wreath at the centre. 13.25" (33.6) long, (cm) high, 49.7 troy oz. (1545g).
