A large George III silver salver by Richard Rugg, hallmarked for London 1774. Shaped circular form with embossed floral swags, bead and scroll edge on four ball and claw feet, engraved with the arms of Stanley, Earl of Derby. With a fitted wood case from New York retailer Robert Ensko with an inscribed silver plaque "Old English silver tray made in London 1774 in the reign of George III by Richard Rugg. Engraved with Arms of Earl of Derby and his Countess Lady Fleming". The case is also engraved "the Westchester 1943" on the lid. 16.25" (41.3cm) diameter, 59.4 troy oz (1847g).
