A fine quality Victorian sterling silver bachelor or tete-a-tete tea set by Martin, Hall and Co, hallmarked London 1882. Comprising a teapot, cream jug, sugar bowl, two teaspoons and a pair of sugar tongs. Circular shape, the lower third fluted and upper third flat chased with acanthus, flared rim with bead border. Each piece engraved with a family crest depicting a hand holding a heart. Capacity of the tea pot is 2.75 cups (650ml), total weight 25.8 troy oz (803g)
