Etruscan Style Sterling Silver Claret Jug

A Victorian sterling silver claret jug by Thomas Bradbury and Sons, hallmarked Sheffield 1864. Pyriform shaped with coiled serpent handle and butterfly finial, the body acid-etched with anthemions and Etruscan style scenes depicting Hermes and Aphrodite. Engraved with a family crest and motto: "Date Deo" (Give to God), 13.25" (33.7cm) high, 26.6 troy oz (801g).
