A George III silver tea caddy by Hester Bateman, hallmarked London 1785. Shaped drum oval with flat lid and engraved with bright cut decoration in the neoclassical style, pineapple finial. Fitted with a working lock and key. 5.25" (13.3cm) across, 11.6 troy oz (361g).
