A German sterling silver novelty potpourri box in the form of a mandolin by Neresheimer & Sohne, Hanau c. 1900, hallmarked with Chester import mark 1903, by Berthold Mueller. Realistically modeled, with etched scroll-work and foliage, gilt interior. 8 7⁄8" (22.5cm) long, 4.6 troy oz (144g).
