An early Canadian sterling silver dessert spoon by Hendery & Leslie with retail mark of Henry Birks & Co. Montreal  c. 1879-1893. Engraved with Aesthetic style decoration and inscribed with a family crest and motto "SPECTEMUR AGENDO" (Let us be known by our actions). 6 7/8" (17.2cm),1.1 troy oz (35g).
