An unusual pair of George III silver tablespoons by Thomas Chawner, hallmarked London 1776. Hanoverian pattern with rat-tail drops*, engraved with a family crest on the terminal. 8.5" (21.5cm) long, 4.6 troy oz (143g).

Rat Tails are rarely seen after about 1730 (until the style was revived in the early 20th century).
