An antique George II Scottish sterling silver half-pint mug by Edward Lothian, hallmarked Edinburgh 1746. Baluster shaped on spreading foot with scroll handle, with later ornate repoussé floral, foliage, scroll and acanthus decoration, gilt interior. Engraved with a later monogram J M R on the central catrouche. Inscribed on the underside 'The Gift of JW Briston".  3.5" (8.9cm) high, 7.2 troy oz (223g).
