A Victorian silver nutmeg grater c. 1860, unmarked, probably English colonial. Oblong shaped, with a hinged lid and steel rasp. Engraved with a script monogram "JH 1860" on the lid. The base is also hinged (for the removal of the nutmeg). 2 1⁄2" (6.4cm) long.
