A fine quality Meiji period Japanese silver teapot by Sanju Saku, Yokohama. c.1900. Circular body on ring foot, beautifully chased and embossed with irises in high-relief on matte ground. With a beautiful butterfly finial, marked with a signature, turtle and "Jungin" (pure silver) mark. Length of teapot from spout to handle 6.5" (16.5cm), total weight 10.4 troy oz (324g).
