A large Scottish Victorian sterling silver tea urn by Marshall & Sons, hallmarked Edinburgh 1839. In the Rococo style, urn shaped with pineapple finial, on square base with four ball and claw feet. The body embossed and chased with cherubs, animals, acanthus and masks. The centre cartouche engraved with a family crest and motto "Fide Et Fortitudine" (By fidelity and fortitude). 21"(53.3cm) high, 12.75" (32.4cm) handle to handle, 91.5 troy oz ( 2846g).
