Victorian Castle Top Card Case Abbotsford

An early Victorian sterling silver castle top card case by Edward Smith, hallmarked Birmingham 1849. Rectangular with scrolling edge, beautifully chased and embossed with scrolling foliage, the centre embossed in high relief with a scene of Abbotsford House. 3 7⁄8" (10cm) x 2.75" (7cm).
