A rare William III/ Queen Anne teardrop shaped silver nutmeg grater, English c. 1700, unmarked. Teardrop shape with two hinged lids, one revealing the steel rasp, the other a compartment to store the ungrated nutmeg. With two bands of thread decoration on the sides, the top engraved with a Georgian period script monogram. 1.5" (3.8cm) long.
