A large William IV sterling silver table snuff box by Nathaniel Mills, hallmarked Birmingham 1833. Rectangular with bombe sides, with repoussé decoration, and large applied scroll-and-floral border, gilt interior. Inscribed " Presented to Dr GC Holland of Sheffield by the subscribers to the Mechanics Library of Worksop as a tribute of respect and gratitude for the series of instructive and entertaining lectures delivered by him in aide of that institution Worksop 1834". 3.75" (9.5cm) long, 2.5" (6.4cm) wide 6.9 troy oz (215g).
