A George II sterling silver teapot by Thomas Whipham, hallmarked London 1749. inverted baluster shape with repoussé decoration, on pedestal foot with wooden scroll handle and hinged dome lid. Engraved with a family crest on one cartouche, a coat of arms and script monogram on the other cartouche. 8.5 " (21.6cm) from spout to handle, 16.7 troy oz (518g).
