An outstanding George III silver epergne by William Holmes, hallmarked London 1777. The oval openwork frame with swags and medallions, on four Ram form legs, supporting central openwork basket and four branches supporting circular dishes, and four branches suspending circular baskets. 28” x 24” x 16.25” high, 168 troy oz. (5225g).
