An exceptionally large German silver wager cup (or marriage cup) by J.D. Schleissner & Sohne, Hanau c.1900. In the traditional form, the larger cup as a lady in a formal dress embossed with Baroque decoration holding a smaller cup in the form of a basket above her head. Gilt interior, 12 1⁄4" (31.1cm) high,19.3 troy oz (599g).
