Victorian Silver Castle Top Card Case

A pretty Victorian silver castle top card case by Nathaniel Mills, Birmingham 1849. Rectangular with scrolling edge, beautifully hand engraved with an unidentified building, possibly from the continent, the ground engraved with scrolls, flowers and foliage. The cartouche on the reverse is engraved with the motto "Gradatim" (By degrees) and a family crest. 3 5⁄8" (9cm).
