A fine quality Victorian sterling silver dessert stand (or comport) by Alexander Macrae , London 1857. With applied cast grape vine work, sitting on a pedestal foot with hand chased anthemion leaves and scrolls, supporting an etched glass dish. 8.5" (21.6cm) diameter, 7.25" (18.4cm) high, total weighable silver 39.3 troy oz (1225g).
