An early George II sterling silver sugar by Charles Alchorne, hallmarked London c. 1733-1737 (date mark indistinct). Inverted baluster shape on spreading foot with flat chased foliage and scroll decoration. Engraved with a family crest. 6.5" (16.5cm) high, 6.5 troy oz (201g).
