A fine quality early-Victorian sterling silver vinaigrette by Edward Smith, hallmarked Birmingham 1840. Rectangular form with engine-turned exterior, pierced and gilt grill engraved with scrolls and flowers, the central cartouche engraved with a script monogram. 1.6" (4cm) long, 0.8 troy oz (26g).
