A Victorian sterling silver snuff box hallmarked Birmingham 1866 by Frederick Marson. Rectangular with scroll edges and concave sides, the exterior engraved with scrolls, applied thumb-piece and gilt interior. The top inscribed with a presentation: "To The Rev. Richmond S Thomson A.M, Minister of the Free Church, Arbirlot, In Name of His Bible Class, an expression of their affection for him and of the respect in which his instructions are held by them. 10Th Dec 1867". 3 3⁄8" (8.6cm) long, 2 1/4" (5.7cm) wide 4.4 troy oz (138g).
