A fine quality five-piece Victorian sterling silver tea service by R & S Garrard & Co, hallmarked  London 1846-47. The set comprising a teapot, coffee pot, cream jug and, sugar bowl and a large kettle on stand. Baluster-shaped bodies with domed hinged lids and scroll handles, engraved with ornate acanthus, swags, scrolls and figural decoration. The sugar bowl and cream jug with gilt interior. Height of kettle on stand 11.6" (29.5cm), total weight 161.1 troy oz (5011g). Contained in the original fitted case.
