A large and heavy Birks sterling silver tea set and tray, the tea set Montreal 1951-53 the tray Montreal 1947. Comprising a teapot, coffee pot, hot water pot, cream jug, sugar bowl and tray. With melon shaped bodies and acanthus capped scroll handles and spouts and shell feet. The coffee pot is 8.75" (22.2cm) high, the teapot is 10.5" (26.7cm) from handle to spout and has a 6 cup (1500ml) capacity, the tray is 28" (71cm) long, 18.75" (47.5cm) wide. Total weight: 250.9 troy ounces (7803g).
