A fine sterling silver butter shell by S J Rose and Son, hallmarked Birmingham 1969. Scallop shell shape engraved and chased with scroll and foliage decoration, on three acanthus capped scroll feet. 5.25" x 4.5" (13.4x 11.4cm), 3.8 troy oz (118g).
