George II silver sweetmeat basket, possibly by Thomas Pitts I (partial maker's mark "T."), hallmarked London 1759. Pierced oval body on ring foot with swing handle, embossed with flowers and foliage. 6" (15.2cm) across, 3.6 troy oz (113g).
