A George II sterling silver waiter (or salver) by Robert Abercromby, hallmarked London 1745. Shaped circular form with cavetto edge and scroll and acanthus border, raised on three hoof feet, engraved with a coat of arms and motto "Gang Forward" (Go Forward). 7" (17.8cm) diameter, 9.8 troy oz (304g).
Note: some wear to the coat of arms.
