Irish Silver Coffee Jug

A George III Irsish sterling silver coffee jug (or hot water jug) by James Le Bas, hallmarked Dublin 1816. Plain tapered cylindrical shape with domed lid, double scroll handle and gadroon borders. Engraved with a family crest and motto "Dieu Nous Protege" (May God Protect Us". 9.5" (24.1cm) high, capacity is 5 cups (1250ml), weight is 17.1 troy oz (532g).
