A large Edwardian sterling silver claret jug by Walter and Charles Sissons, hallmarked Sheffield 1901. Silver collar and lid embossed and chased with scrolls and foliage and flowers, with double scroll handle and pierced thumb-piece on pyriform cut-glass body. The lid engraved with a baroque monogram. Large enough to hold 2 bottles of wine, 10.25" (26cm) high, 52 fluid oz (1500ml) capacity.
