A massive William IV sterling silver kettle on stand by William Bateman II, hallmarked London 1835. Melon shaped with domed lid and unusual venting finial and sleeve for a hot iron. Scroll handle and spout on a platform stand with spirit burner, engraved with a family crest. 16" (40.6cm) high, 4.75 quart (4500ml) capacity, 112.5 troy oz (3500g).
