A Victorian silver vesta sovereign stamp case with toothpick holder and propelling pencil by William Neale, Chester 1887. Oblong with top compartment for vestas, pencil and toothpick, and bottom compartment for sovereign and stamps, git interior, patent number 4709. (marks on the body are somewhat worn). Monogrammed HGC. 2.5" (6.3cm) long, weighs 45g.
