A large American sterling silver wine ewer (or water pitcher) by Howard & Co., New York 1899.  Baluster shaped on pedestal foot, embossed and chased with repoussé flowers and Rococo-style scrolls all over, with engraved monogram to one cartouche on body, and double scroll handle. 15.25" (38.7cm) high, 6 pints (3 litres) capacity, 46.8 troy oz (1457g).
