A large American sterling silver vase by Matthews Company., Newark NJ c. 1910. Tapered body on flared pedestal foot, engraved with bright cut floral, swag and foliage decorations. Engraved with a family crest with motto "Omnia Fortunae Committo" (I commit all things to fortune) and a script monogram M-N. 16 1⁄8" (41cm) high.
